Introduction

Dr. Akshay Budhraja is a highly acclaimed and experienced Interventional Pulmonologist, with over 11 years of clinical expertise in respiratory and sleep medicine. He is known for his proficiency in performing a wide range of advanced pulmonary procedures, including bronchoscopies, thoracoscopies, and EBUS-guided interventions.

Dr. Budhraja's clinical interests cover the management of critically ill patients and a broad spectrum of respiratory conditions, such as bronchial asthma, COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, interstitial lung disease (ILD), pulmonary hypertension, sleep disorders, smoking cessation, tuberculosis, sarcoidosis, and lung cancer.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Budhraja is actively involved in academic and research pursuits. He has contributed to numerous scientific publications and has delivered lectures at reputed institutions including People’s College of Medical Sciences, LN Medical College, and AIIMS Bhopal. He has also served as a Principal Investigator in over 14 international clinical trials, further advancing global research in pulmonary medicine.

To date, Dr. Budhraja has successfully performed over 4,000 bronchoscopies, 600 EBUS procedures, and 300 thoracoscopies — including complex cases such as EBUS procedures in children as young as 4 years old.
