Dr. Ankur Bahl is a seasoned and highly accomplished Medical Oncologist with over 15 years of extensive experience in the field of oncology. An alumnus of Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, he completed his MBBS and MD in Medicine before earning his DM in Medical Oncology from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He further enhanced his academic profile with a certification in Adverse Drug Reactions, Drug Interactions, and Pharmacovigilance from the University of Oxford, UK.
Dr. Bahl holds deep clinical expertise in immunotherapy, targeted therapy combined with chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, as well as supportive and palliative oncology care. He is especially recognized for his leadership in research and evidence-based treatment approaches.
He is the lead author of landmark Indian real-world data on the use of Cetuximab in Head & Neck cancer, treatment strategies in Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and HPV trends in the Indian population. Dr. Bahl is also the founder of several innovative oncology education platforms—including Evidence-Based Debates in Oncology, Live Oncology Tumor Boards, and Masterclasses and Workshops in Oncology—contributing significantly to the advancement of medical education in oncology at both national and international levels.
He currently practices at FMRI, Gurugram, where he joined from Max Hospital, Saket, where he served as Director of Medical Oncology and Hemato-Oncology. His previous affiliations include esteemed institutions like the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre and Maulana Azad Medical College.
