Dr. (Prof) Gourdas Choudhuri is a nationally acclaimed gastroenterologist, medical educator, researcher, columnist, and philanthropist, with over 40 years of distinguished experience. Trained at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, Dr. Choudhuri is credited with pioneering Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Extracorporeal Shockwave Biliary Lithotripsy (ESWL) in India.

He was instrumental in transforming the Department of Gastroenterology at SGPGI, Lucknow, into one of the top five in the country.
