Dr. Padman is an accomplished Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years of experience in Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his medical education at the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry, and holds the Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Padman spent a decade in the United Kingdom, working across various orthopaedic departments at the University Hospitals of Leeds and Sheffield. During his tenure in the UK, he earned his Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS) and successfully cleared the Intercollegiate Board Examination in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS Tr & Orth) in 2008.
As part of his training, he undertook orthopaedic research at the University of Leeds, focusing on the biological response to conventional and advanced polyethylene materials used in joint arthroplasty. For this work, he was awarded a Master’s in Research (MRes) in 2004.
He was selected as the National Fellow in Paediatric Orthopaedics and completed his Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship at the renowned Sheffield Children’s Hospital, where he gained exposure to the full spectrum of paediatric orthopaedic subspecialties. He later served as a Consultant – Paediatric Orthopaedics at Sheffield Children’s Hospital before returning to India in June 2009.
