Introduction

Dr. Mayank Saxena is the Additional Director in the Department of Pulmonology & Sleep Medicine at Fortis Hospital, Noida, with over 10 years of extensive experience in the field. He completed his MBBS from University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi, followed by an MD in Pulmonology from V P Chest Institute, New Delhi. He is also a Fellow of Sleep Medicine (FSM), awarded by the Indian Sleep Disorder Association.

Dr. Saxena received specialized training in Lung Transplantation from Vienna, Austria. His clinical interests span Interventional Pulmonology, Lung Cancer, Tuberculosis, Respiratory Diseases, Critical Care Medicine, Sleep Medicine, Asthma, COPD, ILD, Allergic Disorders, Pleural Effusion, resistant and life-threatening infectious lung diseases, acute and chronic respiratory failure, and multisystem disorders affecting the lungs.

He has performed over 1,000 interventional procedures, including bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy, EBUS, TBLB, tracheal and bronchial stenting, pleurodesis, and bronchial thermoplasty.

Dr. Saxena is an active member of several prestigious medical associations, including the Indian Chest Society, Indian Sleep Disorder Association, American College of Chest Physicians, and the European Respiratory Society. He has also contributed numerous research publications in national and international journals.
