Introduction

Dr. Rekha Mittal dedicated over 22½ years to Pediatrics and later specialized as a Pediatric Neurologist in the Armed Forces Medical Services. She retired prematurely while serving as Senior Advisor (Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology) and Professor at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt, and the Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi Cantt.

As the first Pediatric Neurologist in the Armed Forces, Dr. Mittal established the Pediatric Neurology Services at the Army Hospital (Research and Referral), Delhi Cantt. Following her service, she has contributed extensively at several prestigious hospitals in the Delhi-NCR region. She also successfully ran an NGO, Roshni Centre for Special Children, offering free Pediatric Neurology services to those in need.
