Introduction

Dr. (Maj Gen) D. S. Bhakuni is a highly respected Rheumatologist with over 44 years of specialized experience in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology, backed by a distinguished 36-year career in the Indian Armed Forces.

He earned his MBBS from the prestigious King George's Medical College, Lucknow, followed by an MD in Internal Medicine from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune. He further underwent advanced two-year training in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow.

Dr. Bhakuni has served in several premier tertiary care hospitals across Pune and Lucknow, and notably held the position of Head of the Department of Rheumatology at the renowned Army Hospital (Research & Referral), Delhi for over six years. During his tenure, he was instrumental in mentoring and training numerous young rheumatologists pursuing their DNB in Rheumatology.

He is also skilled in performing intra-articular injections, offering prompt and effective relief to patients suffering from arthritis and joint pain.
