Introduction

Dr. Subhash Gupta serves as the Chairman of the Max Centre for Liver and Biliary Sciences, one of the largest liver transplant centres globally, with a track record of over 3,000 successful liver transplants. Under his leadership, the Centre performs more than 200 liver transplants annually, alongside a comparable volume of complex HPB (Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary) surgeries.

In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Gupta oversees the implementation of stringent safety protocols across all departments within the Centre, including Hepatology, Anaesthesia, and Critical Care, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

He joined Max Healthcare in January 2017 and brings with him over three decades of experience in Surgical Gastroenterology, Liver Transplantation, and HPB Oncology, establishing himself as a pioneer and thought leader in the field.
