The foundation of Manipal Hospitals traces back to 1953, when Dr. T.M.A. Pai, visionary founder of MEMG, established Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, Karnataka — one of India's first private medical colleges. The hospital group formally began in 1991 with our flagship 650-bed facility in Bangalore.
